I will buy lotto tickets tonight when I stop to get gas or go to the pharmacy because my anxiety is just too bad. On Thursday I was having chest pain and arm numbness for 3 hours, I was going to go to the Dr. to get checked out, but the ambulance came to work, and they checked me out here. I was fine. The pain went away Friday morning just short of 24 hours of when it started.
So if I do win the lottery I will quit work and start building replica cars of something I really like. I just can’t decide. Tatras, Renault Dauphines, Saab 96s, Toyota Sports 800s, or Isuzu Belletts and Isuzu Wasps.
What car would you build replicas of or restart production of?

Nothing says I have money to burn by making a perfect replicas of the 2014 Toyota Camry.
Or
Elios. See if you can sell one before they do.

I bet Porsche will revive the 356 badge. I’d like to see them do it to compete with the new Alpine. Even though its not much of a competition because of its small market and because it isn’t like Porsche to undercut anyone on price.
But they need to.
Seeing the rate at which Caymans and Boxsters are growing in size, price and performance to become what used to be 911s in the 90s - Porsche will no longer have a light and fun “ entry level” car.

Make a Versa replica, just to show Nissan how easy it is to make a small car better than they do.

356 replicas would be quite nice. I think there are a few companies that already make them though. I think there is a French company that makes really nice carbon fiber replicas, I can’t exactly remember though.

80 series. Poverty pack spec with updated electronics and a Target price of a 200 series.

Jaguar XJ-S. Same aluminum V12 with modern electronics and fuel injection systems. Magneride suspension with the same geometry they used to have. Slightly updated interior (nicer seats and stereo). Better rust-proofing.

The world was blessed with far too few XJCs.

Beck makes those replicas , and I think theres like 3 or 4 companies in total that do so .
But like there needs to be a new 356 to compete at the $35-$40k mark too!
Of course being a Porsche, people will be able to option it to $90k and they’ll make a ton of Special editions.

Oooh. I hadn’t heard of Carteroni before. I would still prefer a Stratos but that is quite interesting.

it really doesn’t make sense that they don’ t make their own tube chassis reproductions.

Yeah I’m a big fan of the Lister Stratos and the Hawk Stratos. Don’t really have a preference between them.
